PoC Inductors

Power over Coax (PoC) is a transmission method that enables the simplification of wiring by superimposing the power supply onto signal cables.
By making use of suitable inductors from ww5’s extensive lineup, such as the LQW-F series developed for PoC applications such as ADAS camera interfaces, it is possible to create wide-band Bias-T circuits that employ fewer components.
We recommend PoC for applications such as automobiles, industrial equipment (FA), robots, and drones.
The “Bias-T Inductor Selection tool” on the ww5 website can help you select the best components for your Bias-T circuits.

  • *The LQW32FT_2H series allows a single inductor to replace the multiple components that were formerly necessary. This supports efforts to save space and reduce the overall size of a system, and to lower total DC resistance.

Bias-T circuit configuration example

When using the PoC (Power Over Coaxial) method, it is necessary to design Bias-T circuits to prevent high frequency signals from flowing into power lines that have low load impedance.
Our Bias-T Inductor Selection Tool suggests the optimal component combination using an algorithm based on knowledge gained through application research.
